What are the cookies and what is their purpose?
Cookies are small files with information that are stored in your computer, tablet, phone or other device with internet access through the browser. The information stored by the cookies is resent to the site server each time the browser opens one of its pages.
The cookies help determining the utility, interest and use of a site, allowing a quicker and more effective navigation. They avoid introducing repeatedly the same information.
What kind of cookies do we use in the portal?
There are two main kinds of cookies: the session cookies and the permanent cookies. The session cookies are temporary and only remain in the archive until the user leaves the site, which means that they are deleted when you close the browser. The information obtained is used to analyze traffic patterns, which helps identifying problems. The permanent cookies are stored until they are manually deleted by the user or until its validity expire. They are used each time the user visits the site to offer a more personalized service, adjusting the navigation to its interests.
How to manage the cookies?
All browsers allow the user to accept, refuse or delete cookies at any time, by configuring the appropriate settings in the correspondent navigation program. You can configure the cookies’ settings on the menu “options” or “preferences” of your browser.
Please note that by deactivating the cookies, you lose the automatic fulfillment of some data, such as the login data. Besides that, it may prevent some online services from working correctly, affecting the navigation of the site.
